The game reviews addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of one and two-digit numbers. At the beginning of class, we will review addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Then, I will demonstrate a sample turn of the game to show the students how to play. This is a fast-paced, interactive game that involves all students during each turn. Students need to have basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. A times table sheet is recommended for those students that do not have their multiplication facts memorized. I believe that math can be fun when it’s relevant, interesting, and interactive. I enjoy sharing my love for math by showing the kids that math is useful and exciting. I give my students the tools they need to face obstacles, persevere, and overcome challenges. In class, we use mistakes as learning opportunities, discuss big ideas, make connections, and learn to be problem solvers.
Learning Goals
