With over 20 years experience as a 1:1 in classrooms and in the community, and as a classroom teacher, my teaching style is adapted to match the student's learning style. Patience in allowing processing time as well as breaking down tasks into smaller steps are only some examples of ways I can help. Student interaction is encouraged. Project based learning may also be incorporated.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my students call me Miss Vicki. I have been an educator for over 20 years, helping students learn how to learn. I teach K-12 General Education and Special Education subjects including English, math up to Algebra 1, Physical and Earth Science, as well as social skills and job skills. Project based learning is meshed with formal learning so students are engaged and having fun while critically thinking at the same time.

I have also been a private tutor since 2002. I tutor all subjects listed above as well as history, and biology. I love helping people to reach their very own individual goals. I assess how students learn and teach them accordingly. The reward in helping others to become knowledgeable and to learn how to create self independence academically, and in life, has brought me much joy.

Helping students develop their executive functioning skills is incorporated into my curriculum which helps to improve their ability to understand concepts, retain knowledge, increase self regulation and self reliance, and prepare for a lifetime of learning, whether in school, at work, or in everyday life.

I enjoy working with all learner types.
I love to explore. I strive to find solutions. I enjoy creating personalized curriculum.
