Is your child needing a challenge or struggling in reading, math or writing? With 27 years of brick and mortar experience, as well as more than three years teaching online with Outschool, I can help your learner progress. Over the course of six weeks (the class formatted specifically for charter schools but anyone is able to join), I will help to challenge your child or teach them beginning skills, depending on their current status. Consistency is key and teaching your learner for these six weeks will begin the foundation they need in order to succeed! Since this class is tailored to your child's needs, your child will quickly progress. If your child needs assistance in reading, we will use phonics, sight words, and/or word families to help improve their skill. For children needing help with math, we will build using their current math foundation, teaching them how to use the skills they currently have to improve. To improve in writing, I can show your learner how to use an outline, descriptive words, or spider web planning to create better paragraph or story writing. We can also create a plan based on your specific educational needs, knowing that children learn in a variety of ways.

Closing which may include a puppet, a game, or show and tell, depending on the type of class your learner is taking. My goal is to have every child smiling and excited to return to the next class!
