Students will learn essential guitar skills, including how to play chords, scales, and melodies, as well as how to read music and guitar tablature. They will develop proper technique, such as finger placement, strumming, and picking, to build a strong foundation. Lessons will also cover rhythm, ear training, and basic music theory, helping students understand key signatures, chord progressions, and song structures. Lessons will incorporate fun and engaging activities to reinforce learning, such as playing along with favorite songs, simple improvisation, and interactive exercises to develop coordination and musicality. As students progress, they will explore different musical styles, including classical, rock, and jazz, and learn how to express themselves through their playing. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently play songs, understand how music works, and develop their own unique musical voice, whether they want to perform, compose, or simply enjoy playing for fun.

I have extensive experience as a guitarist, educator, and music producer, with a strong background in both classical and contemporary music. I hold a Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Mannes School of Music, The New School, where I studied under renowned guitarist Michael Newman, as well as a Bachelor of Music from The College of New Jersey. My training includes composition, improvisation, music production, and scoring for film, giving me a well-rounded approach to teaching music.
I have been teaching private guitar lessons since 2016, working with students of all ages and skill levels. My experience includes teaching at Bravo Music Academy (2021-2023) and Do Re Mi Music and Arts (2017-2018), where I provided individual instruction to children and teens, following structured curricula tailored to their abilities. I also served as a guitar instructor and counselor at the New York Summer Music Festival (2014), where I taught a group of 20 students, focusing on guitar performance and practice techniques.
My teaching philosophy is to make music accessible, fun, and inspiring for young learners. I strive to foster creativity and confidence by incorporating favorite songs, interactive exercises, and age-appropriate music theory concepts. Whether a child is learning their first chords or refining their technique, I provide patient, encouraging guidance to help them reach their musical goals.
