Prior to class: I hope to speak with parents! Why did you choose to enroll your student in this class? What are your concerns? Expect to hear from me in your inbox before class. 

In our first class we will begin our time together by properly assessing your student's current grammar, reading, and spelling skill levels. This data will inform our work together. Depending on the needs of the student, they may complete a grammar specific assessment (approximately 20 questions, multiple choice), a spelling inventory, a reading inventory and an ESL curriculum assessment. 

In ongoing classes, the class flow is flexible, based on parent and teacher observations and goals. Some students have no grammar concerns but are struggling with spelling, or vice versa.

This class will primarily be curriculum-based, rather than conversation-based.

In addition to our 25 minute class time, the price includes:
- Preparing the appropriate assessments ahead of our initial meetings to properly assess your student
- Detailed analysis of those assessments to determine the appropriate curriculum for your student
- Personalized feedback within 48 hours of our class time, highlighting the areas of growth and ongoing needs of your student
- Out of class communication with parents to ensure that we are all in agreement to the education plan
- Ongoing assessment to ensure the courseware is properly challenging for the learner

👩‍🎓 Yes, you could find less expensive ESL classes online. Kindly note that these are often held with less qualified instructors (no educational training or experience) with no out-of-class time dedicated to your student.

REFUND POLICY
If a student is more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a missed class, per Outschool policy and the class is not eligible for a refund.
