Professional Experience
For over 15 years, I have served as a dedicated teacher in mainstream British primary schools. For a decade of that tenure, I held the esteemed position of Head of English at two different schools. In this leadership role, I played a key part in driving progress and achievement. My commitment as both a teacher and a leader has always centered around helping children attain academic excellence through dynamic and innovative lessons. I have worked with a diverse range of students, from those with additional needs to those classified as gifted and talented.
Philosophy
My educational philosophy revolves around providing every child with equality of opportunity, regardless of their background or ability. I firmly believe in offering each child the chance to learn and experience success, coupled with challenges at every level. Upon entering my class, students should feel welcomed and valued, fostering a love for learning that accompanies them throughout their academic journey into adulthood. Education, in my view, should be enjoyable and exciting, recognizing that happy children are more likely to learn and retain knowledge.
Classes
I have extensive experience teaching across the entire primary curriculum, with a specialization in reading and writing. My proficiency lies in helping reluctant readers and writers discover the joy that accompanies success.
About Me
Currently residing in a village in England, I teach in a local primary school. Spending time with my family is a priority, and being a parent of two young children has broadened my understanding and appreciation of how children learn. This firsthand experience has provided valuable insights into the challenges some children face in a school environment.
I prioritize maintaining physical health and engage in regular workouts and gym sessions, believing that a positive mental mindset is closely tied to good physical health. At the start of my teaching career, I spent six months teaching English to children in India, broadening my cultural and educational perspectives. A memorable moment in my career was meeting Prince William and Prince Harry during a school trip to a Wembley concert.
