Beginner Level
1:1 reading intervention using EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction) involves a series of activities that build as you work with me. The focus of this class is to improve reading accuracy, speed, and comprehension. Instead of learning challenging and cumbersome rules, students who are struggling with reading will learn to access the sounds in words as they read. This is done through increasing skills in phonemic awareness. Blending, segmenting, and phoneme manipulation are all important...
Students will improve their reading comprehension, accuracy, and speed. They will master blending, segmenting, and phoneme manipulation. Students will understand splitting words into syllables and sounds. They will use these skills to break words into sounds as they read and to improve their spelling and writing.
I am EBLI certified and hold a certification to teach secondary English. I have a master's in education.

1:1 reading intervention is designed to support students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. The program I am certified in supports students who struggle with reading. I will meet your child where they are.
Whiteboard, whiteboard markers, document camera preferred but not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
