In this 10-week class, students will review the basics of high school chemistry in order to be successful in AP chemistry.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
The Periodic Table
This lesson will cover the periodic table, atomic structure, ionic charges, types of compounds, valence electrons, and writing chemical compounds.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Chemical Quantities
This lesson will cover calculating molar mass, converting between grams and moles, and using Avogadro's number. We will also cover determining empirical and molecular formulas.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Electron Configurations
In this lesson, we will discuss orbitals and how to determine electron configurations, including noble gas configurations.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Periodic Trends
In this lesson, we will discuss periodic trends (electronegativity, ionization energy, atomic radius, and more), and bond polarity.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Lewis Structures and VSEPR Theory
In this lesson, we will discuss drawing lewis structures, determining formal charge/resonance, and VSEPR theory.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Gas Laws
In this lesson, we will review the kinetic molecular theory and gas law calculations.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Solutions
In this lesson, we will discuss calculating molarity, determining solubility, and writing net ionic equations.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Chemical Reactions
In this lesson, we will discuss types of chemical reactions (including acid and base and redox), balancing equations, and predicting chemical products.
 Week 9
Lesson 9
Stoichiometry
In this lesson, we will discuss solving stoichiometry problems, including limiting and excess stoichiometry, solution stoichiometry, and gas stoichiometry.
 Week 10
Lesson 10
Final Review
In this lesson, we will review all topics covered in the course.
