Chemistry is the study of the substances of matter, their properties, and how they react to form new substances. Chemistry is important in so many areas of life, including the human body and health. I am a high school chemistry teacher teaching 10th-grade chemistry (including honors) and Advanced Placement (AP) chemistry. Also, I have tutored students in chemistry for over five years. This 10-week AP Chemistry preparation class is meant for students who have already taken one year of chemistry to review for beginning AP chemistry. This class goes through foundational topics essential for success in AP chemistry. Each week, students will participate in a 45-minute live class on that week's topics, and then receive homework to turn in by the next class. Students can ask questions during class and facilitate discussion of the topics. I will be available through messaging or the class discussion page for any questions throughout the course. **Please note that this is a fast-paced course that goes through topics quickly. There will be no classes on June 19th or July 4th.
