Summer is the perfect opportunity to maintain and strengthen our language skills. In just three weeks of our immersive and enjoyable Chinese bootcamp, students will elevate their Chinese proficiency to the next level.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
Introduction and Assessment
Assess the student's current Mandarin language level and set personalized learning goals for the course. While the provided lesson plan offers a foundational framework, each session will be customized according to the student's individual pace, proficiency level, and specific learning objectives.
Lesson 2
Greetings and Self Introduction
- Objective: Enable the student to engage in simple conversations in Mandarin. - Activities: 1.Introduce basic questions and responses. 2.Practice asking and answering questions about personal information (name, age, nationality, etc.). 3.Role-play everyday conversations.
 Week 2
Lesson 3
Numbers and Counting
- Objective: Familiarize the student with Mandarin numbers and counting. - Activities: 1.Teach numbers from 1 to 100 (or bigger numbers). 2.Introduce counting principles, days of the week and months of the year. Learn to talk about one's birthday or special holidays. 3.Practice counting various objects and scenarios.
Lesson 4
Family
- Objective: Introduce the student to Mandarin vocabulary related to family and relationships. - Activities: 1.Teach words for family members such as 爸爸 (bàba), 妈妈 (māmā), 哥哥 (gēge), 姐姐 (jiějiě), 弟弟 (dìdi), and 妹妹 (mèimei). 2.Explore terms for extended family members like 祖父 (zǔfù), 祖母 (zǔmǔ), 叔叔 (shūshu), 阿姨 (āyí), and 表弟 (biǎodì). 3.Discuss relationships within the family and learn phrases for expressing familial bonds.
 Week 3
Lesson 5
Food and Dinning
- Objective: Teach the student vocabulary related to food and dining. - Activities: 1.Introduce common food items and ingredients. 2.Learn how to order food in Mandarin. 3.Role-play ordering food at a restaurant.
Lesson 6
Cultural Exploration
- Objective: Explore aspects of Chinese culture and traditions. - Activities: 1.Discuss Chinese holidays such as Lunar New Year and 12 Zodiac animals. 2.Watch a short video or listen to a Chinese song to immerse in cultural elements.
This class is taught in English.
Students will develop their interests in learning Chinese. Students will learn useful vocabulary and expressions to introduce themselves in Chinese.
