Hello/你好 my Outschool language learners! Are you ready to expand your Chinese vocabulary and improve your listening/conversational skills while making your favorite breakfasts, healthy snacks, desserts and popular food around the world virtually?! If so, please join this weekly Chinese club. NOTE: No cooking materials will be needed for the class. Learners will be making virtual food during class, not real food. This is a weekly on-going class, students can join any week and unsubscribe any week. We start every class with a Greeting and learn to talk about feelings, weathers and share what’s going on in our lives. It’s a great opportunity to practice useful Chinese vocabulary, phrases, sentences and socialize with other learners. We will then move on to the Cooking Game. Each week we will focus on one dish to learn and review the targeted vocabulary. We might extend one lesson to two weeks if there is a lot of new vocabulary that needs to be introduced. Previous vocabulary will be reintroduced monthly through different dishes to reinforce learning. For example, when we make cake, the fruit vocabulary will be reintroduced when we make fruit smoothies. Students will get to master the Chinese vocabulary in all food groups! ★GREETINGS ("Hello" and 1 or 2 activities depending on time): ⭐︎Hello/你好: Students sing "Hello Song" to classmates and teacher. ⭐︎Feelings/心情: Students share their feelings: "Happy", "Sad", "Angry" and "Calm". ⭐︎Weather/天气: Students talk about the weather: "Sunny", "Cloudy", "Rainy" and "Snowy". ⭐︎ Days of the Week/星期: Students talk about the days of the week. ⭐︎ Moths of the year/月份: Students learn to say what the month of the year. ★COOKING GAMES/游戏: Students make virtual breakfast, healthy snacks, desserts and popular dishes around the world.
