Not at all! The Talent Showcase is open to every eligible learner, whether they’re new to performing or already taking classes. They don’t need to be enrolled in a music, singing, or performance class on Outschool to participate. What matters most is their creativity, effort, and enthusiasm.
Log in to your Outschool account and fill out the form above. Upload a 2–3 minute video of your learner performing. Make sure to enter using the parent email linked to your Outschool account, and if a teacher invited you to the Showcase, add their profile link so we can thank them. Submitting for more than one learner? Fill out a new form for each.
Record your learner’s performance vertically (9x16), like filming on a smartphone. Ensure your learner is clearly visible, well-lit, and audible. This is their time to shine, so keep the focus on their talent. If you have trouble uploading, check our website troubleshooting tips or contact Outschool Support for help. Learn more about our video guidelines here.
Our team reviews your learner’s video to make sure it meets the Showcase rules and video guidelines. This could take up to a week. You’ll get an email once it’s in the Showcase. Keep an eye on this page for updates. Entries will appear here when ‘Showcase Favorite’ voting begins.
Submissions can’t be edited once they’ve been sent, so be sure to review your video and entry form carefully before submitting. Each learner can have only one entry in the Showcase, and judges will review only one video per participant.
Outschool’s teacher judges review entries for creativity, talent, and presentation. One finalist is chosen for each age group in every category. Showcase Favorite voting happens here on the Showcase page, where anyone in the U.S. 18 or older can vote up to three times per category. Finalists are featured in the live virtual event, and the Showcase Favorite winner is decided by public vote.
The live virtual Showcase will be hosted as an Outschool class on December 13. It’s a free celebration of the finalists and their performances, featuring teacher judges and plenty of musical moments. Families can tune in to cheer on the finalists and enjoy the show. Stay tuned for registration details closer to the event.
Three Grand Prize winners, one in each category, each receive a $500 Outschool Gift Card and a $500 Amazon Gift Card. Finalists who aren’t selected for a Grand Prize receive a $250 Outschool Gift Card. The Showcase Favorite winner earns a $250 Outschool Gift Card and a $250 Amazon Gift Card. Finalists are announced on December 5, and Grand Prize winners on December 15. Prizes are sent by email after the contest concludes.
