Unlock the Member Library

Self-paced classes that are part of the Member Library are labeled “Free for members.” You’ll enroll and check out just like you would for any other Outschool class, but you won’t be charged any credits. These classes display as 0 credits at enrollment, meaning they’re included with your Membership at no additional cost.

After you’ve chosen a class from the Member Library, click Enroll Now, Start Anytime. A calendar will appear for you to select your learner’s start date. You can choose to begin today or on a future date. When that date arrives, your learner will be able to access the lessons and complete them at their own pace. You can manage your learner’s Member Library classes from your Parent Dashboard, just like any other Outschool class. Self-paced classes include teacher support for a set number of weeks and 12 months of access to content. If you withdraw before the support period ends, your learner will lose access to the class content for the rest of the year, so we recommend only withdrawing if the class isn’t the right fit.

As we continue to add classes to the Member Library, you may notice that you already enrolled in one before it was added. Although you won’t receive credits back for enrollments already in progress, your Membership now gives you access to a variety of self-paced classes at no extra cost.

Learners can post questions or assignments in the classroom, and teachers respond during the support period listed on the class page. If you ever need immediate help, Outschool Support is here too.

The Member Library includes self-paced classes covering a wide range of learner interests. While it may not include every topic on Outschool, we hope to continue expanding the library. Your Membership also gives you full access to the wider Outschool catalog, so your learner can always explore beyond the library.

The Member Library is included with your Membership, so you’ll have access while your Membership is active or paused. If Membership benefits ever change, we’ll notify families.

We recommend visiting the Outschool website on your mobile or desktop device to browse and enroll in the full catalog of Member Library classes. Once enrolled, your learner can access their self-paced classes through the Outschool app, which includes offline mode for saving and viewing lessons when you’re offline and on the go.
