Homeschooling confessions: I don’t know everything
Homeschooling is scary on many levels. So we wanted to share this open letter. It's about why you don't know it all–and don't need to.
If we’re honest, there’s a lot of homeschooling angst.
How do I know if I can do it? How do I know if I’m getting it right? How do I get started?
Those questions are normal, which is why we wanted to share something from our partner, the Techie Homeschool Mom. Here is their Open Letter to Homeschoolers Who Don’t Know It All.
Sarah, the founder, shares her own journey and fears and how she gets past them. It’s a great, honest read. Sarah is a former high school math teacher turned homeschooling mom who’s on a mission to revolutionize how we think about integrating technology into our children's education.
Her journey began when she started homeschooling her son when he was entering kindergarten. Today, she's a go-to resource for homeschooling families who want to take advantage of the latest technological tools and resources available.
We like how she equips homeschoolers of all levels of tech-savviness to create dynamic, personalized learning experiences for their children. She also curates some great resources like:
Art activities for kids
As Sarah said, “There’s nothing in the (nonexistent) Homeschool Parents’ Manual for Success that says that we have to know ‘all the things’ in order for our kids to have a great homeschool experience. In fact, I don’t know a single homeschool parent who DOES know everything.”
So the good news is, you don’t have to be an expert or have all the answers to be successful. You don’t have to teach every topic yourself or have a foolproof plan.
Start by finding some homeschooling resources, and connect with other homeschooling parents.
Remember, you don’t have to do this on your own. ❤️
