ZThe Best Me：目標設定 - 7 至 10 歲

DESCRIPTION: This class is part of a series of classes that focus on topics which help learners develop strong social-emotional learning (SEL) and growth mindset skills through inspiring stories, self-reflection, and engaging guided activities. Students explore their own ideas and thoughts while learning how to believe in themselves. They also learn why being unique is important, different ways to share kindness with others, and build self-confidence. By developing a growth mindset students learn to believe that they can always improve by putting forth effort and applying certain strategies. 

LEARNING GOALS: The Best Me: A New Year, a New Me class is all about students learning what their strengths are through guided activities and self-reflection. In this one-time life skills class students learn to accept and like who they are and work to develop stronger character "muscles". We will also identify our personal style and set personal goals for the New Year. Then we will create a New's Year Snapshot worksheet to remind us of our goal and what we want to be like. We will learn that when we like and appreciate who we are we  are stronger and more likely to succeed.

CLASS: Students will learn through the use of Nearpod, worksheets, and guided discussions and activities. This class utilizes an interactive presentation platform called "Nearpod". Nearpod turns a powerpoint presentation into interactive slides so that students are able to draw, answer questions, and much more directly on the presentation through out the lesson. This helps keep students engaged, allows them to collaborate as a class, and practice what they have learned. Students may need parental help in the beginning to join the Nearpod lesson.
