In this lecture style zoology class we will meet an arthropod (invertebrate), amphibian, bird, reptile and mammal and discuss the similarities and differences between each. We will learn about the different body coverings each animal class possesses and their different behaviors for survival. We will discuss the functions of exoskeletons, scales, feathers and hair/fur and learn about the specialized skin that amphibians have for breathing and drinking. This class will help students to be able to identify the different classifications of animals that inhabit the land. We will discuss easy ways to identify what class they belong to.
