Hello and Welcome! My name is Katie Rose but, you can call me Miss.Rose! I’m here to build confidence in our youth and I have a passion for teaching! 

Dance- I have been a professional dancer since the age of 11, working in parades and equity shows at Walt Disney World! At age 16, I started working seasonally for Disney, eventually full time and then grew to love teaching during and after those years on the stage. I worked at “Finding Nemo the Musical” for 13 years, amongst other freelance jobs and teach at local theaters and high schools. I have worked at all 3 major theme parks and love being on the stage! I believe no matter your look or height, there is a stage for everyone!;) 

My heart is in the creative process of choreographing and teaching for those who are willing and seeing my art come to life! I ran away and joined the circus at age 19 with Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey, lived on a cruise ship for a year and dabbled in stunts. I’ve worked conventions, dance camps, dance teams, and local venues. I will mostly be focusing on Musical Theater, Jazz, Hip hop, as well as, giving advice about the entertainment industry.

I am a singer/actor and realtor as well, and am currently focusing on the film industry. I like to inspire and ignite passion during class and encourage kids to have fun, truly learn and connect. Please check out my other classes and I’ll see you in the classroom! I take song requests for dance choreography and THE AGE OF CLASSES IS THERE FOR REFERENCE OF DIFFICULTY BUT, NOT MANDATORY! If you feel like you are up for the class, you may take it no matter the age!

Disclosure- please be sure to be in a safe space when dancing. Dance at your own risk. Remember dance class is training and we are here to learn, NOT be perfect. ;) 

Parents- I suggest that you take a moment to browse through Outschool to get used to the way it works as well as zoom. Outschool and zoom are connected, so teachers will not be giving out a zoom code. You login through the classroom . There is a slight learning curve if you are new and please check your Internet speed. Those with a faster Internet will have less issues or glitches. Please acknowledge the cancellation policy. As a teacher I do my best to accommodate parents and children but, missing a class or requesting a transfer last minute or after class, means that the teacher loses pay for that student and that is a spot that another student could have had. Also, if your student is late to class please be respectful that class has been in session and jump in and try to pick up. I always repeat the steps over and over and hopefully they can catch on or watch the video after class. 

Outschool is great about recording the classes from the live session so that students may watch it if they missed it, where in a real studio situation you wouldn’t have that perk. Even though the cancellation policy is 24 hours I am typically really great about responding if something happens before class. A minimum of 3 students is needed for my classes and will be rescheduled if not met. If there are still not enough students on the second attempt, I will still teach even if it is only 2 students since it’s a 2nd attempt. If I log in and no one is there the class will also be rescheduled. Thank you for signing up and I can’t wait to meet you!
