Need a fun way to practice multiplication facts? Know your facts, but just need to get faster? ⚡️Let's play ZAP! a game where you don't know the winner until the very end. ⚡️You'll get points for correct answers, but WATCH OUT, you might get ZAPPED! PLEASE NOTE: Students are expected to be somewhat familiar with their multiplication facts. There is no teaching in this class; it's just a chance for kids to get together and have fun practicing their facts. A multiplication chart will be provided and students can use it to help them during the game. WHAT TO EXPECT: ZAP! is super fun! You never know what's going to happen! I love this game, because it is a perfect blend of skill and luck. So, no one person is guaranteed to win every time. Each day will have a different theme. Day 1 will be Summer Fun. Students get to pick the theme for the Days 2, 3, & 4. Day 1: Focus on 0's, 1's, 2's, 5's, 10's Day 2: Focus on 3's, 4's, 6's, 12's Day 3: Focus on 7's, 8's, 9's, 11's Day 4: All of them! Hello there! Welcome to a place of learning and fun! I am a certified teacher in math & science for grades 4-8.
My classes are all about engagement. I believe that if students are actively DOING something, they will learn more. You'll never hear me talk for more than 3 minutes at a time. I deliver a small chunk of info, and then I let the students process it by doing something with it. It could be a discussion, lab, worksheet, drawing, or game. I love games!
I teach group science classes, math game classes, and math tutoring. The math game classes are designed for kids who already know the concepts, but just need fun extra practice.
