💙💜💛 Welcome to Sing Create Play!! Welcome to Yuletide Uke! ~ Please note that this is not a class for a student who has never played the ukulele before. We need advanced beginners guitar and ukulele players for this class, not total beginners. → This class will meet the needs of each type of learner, that includes kinaesthetic, visual, and auditory. For best results in seeing success with learning new songs is practising the chord transitions during class and outside it. → Please Note: 1. You will need a tuned instrument for this class. 2. Although we, sometimes, will strive to learn 2 songs per class, it really depends on your ability, previous experience with the instrument and also the time you practise outside the class. If you are a beginner, it is more likely that you will learn one song per class, which is awesome! → What SKILLS you will learn during this mini course: - We will learn how to keep a steady beat while strumming or picking the strings of our instrument; - holding beginners chords: C Major, F Major, A minor, G7, D7, G, Em . → Christmas songs that we will learn together: 1. Week beginning 11th November: Deck the Halls 2. Week beginning 18th November: Oh, Christmas Tree / We Wish You a Merry Christmas 3. Week beginning 25th November: Feliz Navidad / We Wish You a Merry Christmas 4. Week beginning 2nd December: Rudolf The Rednosed Reindeer 5. Week beginning 9thDecember: The Twelve Days of Christmas 6. Week beginning 16th December: Jingle Bells 7. Week beginning 23rd December: Jingle Bell Rock 8. Week beginning 30th Jan: Frosty the Snowman

→ Please make sure that students need to have a TUNED ukulele for each class. Please make sure you tune your ukulele for this class https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VOuRBjmzAM&t=9s → Learners can use a pick, but it is not compulsory; I actually recommend the use of fingers for strumming/picking. → In order for me to give feedback and see clearly the learner while playing their instrument, please make sure you position the learners, so I can see their BOTH hands when playing, head to the waist, in a well-lit room (the light coming from their front, not from the back). The young learner can sit on the floor, with their legs crossed. If they are joining from an iPad/laptop, they can also be on the floor or a little stool, it can point straight or downwards. → Please note that the learner can't sit on an armchair as this will restrict the way their instrument needs to be positioned and also restricts the movement of the learner's arms. A chair with no arms, or a stool are recommended. BOTH learner's feet should be on the floor, not hanging. → Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or concerns. → The teacher will provide the songs and other files (strumming and chords sheets); → Ukulele (Soprano or Concert Standard tuning G C E A) → Ukulele Tuner App
