Do you know a young girl who loves reading and socializing with other girls? This class combines socializing, engaging literary games, and book summarizing skills (which is an essential academic skill!). In upper elementary and middle school, reading becomes even more important as students will begin using their reading skills in all core subjects. When students are enthusiastic about reading, the core subjects in these grades seem less intimidating! What better way to become enthusiastic...
Students will summarize a book of their choice. Students will formulate opinions about other books. Students will improve their social skills and confidence through socializing.
I am a certified teacher and will finish my school counseling master's program in May of 2021. I have taught and counseled students in grades PreK-5th in the public school system.
Necessary supplies will be posted in the classroom one week before class.
