In this class, learners will be taught how to write a one-paragraph story on a piece of clothing or jewelry. In this class, we will cover - an overview of a few famous examples of stories involving fashion or jewelry - quick review of the elements of one-paragraph stories (introduction, body, conclusion) - a discussion on figurative language and sensory details that can be included in the story - time to write at least one story which can be about an actual clothing or jewelry item, or one...
I earned my BA in English from Washington University, and two Masters degrees in the Education field from Brown University and The George Washington University. I have taught language arts to learners in K-12 for over a decade in non-formal settings such as afterschool tutoring and weekend enrichment programs. In Hillsborough County, Florida, I was nominated at the SERVE Tutor of the year in 2012. I have also published poetry, magazine articles, and academic book chapters.
