課堂經歷
This 3-week class will cover the skills on how to write an Expository piece from start to finish. The course will consist of three sessions. Each session will be teacher-guided and will go as follows: First Session: Students will learn how to J.O.T.T. (brainstorm/outline their thoughts) - coloring coding system. Students will learn that this is the first step in the writing process and we focus on getting our ideas down on paper, almost like a brain dump. We jott down our ideas to...
Students will learn to go through the full writing process (PREWRITE, DRAFT, EDIT)) for each genre we focus on. Throughout this process, students will grow their love and motivation to write. This writing system that Teacher Christie uses to teach writing has been SUCCESSFUL for ALL students!
As a veteran teacher of 20+ years, having a knowledge of how to write, it's process, and importance, is so important as we continuing on through school and beyond. Teaching Language Arts is one of my many passions as students really enjoy the interaction that takes place and how much knowledge and excitement they obtain. All of my lessons are very engaging and include all participants.
Each class, students will need a piece of writing paper, a pencil, eraser, and the following colors (red, yellow, green). This can be markers, crayons, colored, pencils, etc.
