The goal of this class is to establish systems necessary for developing writing using the writing workshop framework. A secondary goal is to build a community of writers in which students become independent writers as well as offer peer support to other writers. This occurs when writing is taught through routines and procedures and is purposeful and meaningful to learners.
Twenty-nine years classroom instruction experience in grades 1 through 7. Experience in state writing exam instruction in grades 4 and 7. Tutor experience with one-on-one and small groug instruction. Recognized dedicated educator.
