Once upon a time… A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… When dinosaurs roamed the earth… Deep under the sea… In a garden enchanted by fairies… In the darkest of forests… Locked in a dungeon deep beneath the castle... Every great fantasy adventure story has its own unique WORLD, a time and a place that impacts its characters and the quests they embark upon. Students will improve their writing skills by focusing on vivid, visual and detail-rich descriptions of their setting/world as they complete their "story sheets". Students will improve their drawing/design skills as well as their story-planning skills. Of equal importance, students will have the option to share/read/show what they create during class, therefore improving their presentation skills.
Teacher will email to parents 1 to 3 "story sheets" (.pdf documents) to be printed at home prior to each class. Materials: plain white paper, pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, colored pencils
