Students will learn that a Narrative has a beginning, middle, and end. They will be able to write an interesting beginning that will introduce the characters and setting. Then, they will focus on the middle of their story that has a problem and finish their story with a solution or ending thought. This class is fun, engaging, and will spark creativity within your child! We will share parts of our stories and learn different ways to show what is happening, not tell. Students must be able...
Students will end this class with at least a completed plan and very strong beginning to their narrative. Students will learn how to show not tell in a story.
My name is Mrs. Pfann, and I have been an Elementary classroom teacher for over 11 years. I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a passion for writing. I have come up with a system for teaching narratives that works with most students. Students will enjoy my fun teaching style and take away a lot of knowledge with just one hour of instruction.
