In this class, we will prepare to set sail on a global adventure! This one-time course, designed for ages 7-10, will explore Scotland and expand our cultural horizons in an engaging and interactive way. Be prepared for a learning experience that is anything but passive! We will engage in lively discussions, interactive presentations, and a fun end-of-class quiz to assess retention. Each lesson follows a similar format, starting with a presentation on the country's geography and weather, followed by a short PowerPoint game to test our knowledge of the appropriate attire for each country, followed by unique clothing, foods, and traditions. Concluding with a discussion allowing learners to ask simple or complex questions about the country we have just learned about!

Students will improve their understanding of Scotland's geography, climate, traditional clothing, cuisine, and customs.

For vegetarian or vegan learners, a brief discussion of foods, including haggis and blood pudding, will be provided. These foods contain animal blood and various parts of an animal cooked according to the traditional method.
