Students will engage in book group discussions and creative writing each week. Through these discussions and writing we will work on comprehension skills, analyzing the characters and their actions, making connections, discussing the author's purpose for including different events and characters in the book, and comparing and contrasting different characters and events.

I am a licensed school librarian and classroom teacher. I have over ten years of experience leading book groups in the classroom, in the library, and online. I am a Hufflepuff that loves to spread my love of all things Harry Potter to anyone and everyone I encounter in my life.

This is a flex class with no set meeting times. Each week the student will be responsible for reading the assigned chapters (4 or 5 chapters a week), participating in the posted discussion questions, and completing a creative writing assignment. Discussion questions and writing assignments will be posted on Sunday and due on Saturday each week.
