In this 1- time winter beak class for preschool and kindergarten learners, we will use fine motor skills, shapes and creativity to create a paper plate gingerbread man! 

After reading our gingerbread man story, children will have access to a template of shapes that I will post in the classroom, that they will use to create their gingerbread face on their paper plate. We will talk about shapes, sizes, colors and art skills as we go through the process together to make this gingerbread craft. 

The process:
Children will color the background of their paper plate after hearing the gingerbread man story and looking at visuals. 
Children will then use crayons or markers to color their shapes on their template page. 
Children will then take time to cut out their shapes.
Children will then work on gluing their shapes onto the paper plate to create their gingerbread man face! 
Children will have time to share their creation with their classmates.

Children will have access to visuals and also have a visual of me creating the craft right alongside them. 

The result: A fun keepsake craft made with lots of fun and learning!
