課堂經歷
英語程度 - 未知
美國 4 - 7 年級
Main goal of this class is to make the reading of Shakespeare fun. This class will include two tragedies, one history and two comedies. We will not be reading the full plays but encourage the learner to read the various children versions of these Shakespearean plays. It might be handy to have the full version of the plays available to compare to the children versions. There will be quotes to try and find in the reading of each play. The student will discuss questions, true and false statements about the play, and note that there are phrases or words from Shakespeare's plays that are present even today. The teacher will give thoughtful information about the play each week. A narration starter will be available for each play with the student writing several sentences about a particular scene or character in the play for example. The learner will play a game or do an activity such as art, making comics, doing a review, a Mad Lib, etc. to reinforce that week's read. Plays are: Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer’s Night Dream.
學習目標
Student will develop knowledge of 5 different Shakespearean plays while completing some fun activities/games.
Student will gain knowledge on fun trivia facts and be able to express within the classroom posts during their time in class via check ins.

父母的引導和規範
Parental guidance needed to determine that each Shakespearean play is a children's version versus full play. This class may not be appropriate for all ages or learners. Some plays do cover topics that may be upsetting or scary for certain learners. Within the content of several plays, suicide and murder are mentioned but it is not discussed in detail in this class. As a teacher, I advise learners to openly discuss these topics with their parents as needed or appropriate.
供應清單
