1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the Giant Pacific Octopus, such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 
2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the Giant Pacific Octopus. 
3. Students will learn why conservation of all Octopus is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 
4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Giant Pacific Octopus and their ocean habitat.

Students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning about the Giant Pacific Octopus.
