Who was admitted to an asylum? Who fled their country due to civil war? Who liked to play practical jokes? 

Let’s look at the lives and music of some of the most interesting composers, both past and present. Get to know who they were, and are, as people, and the lives they lived. See how the music they wrote was a reflection of their lives.  

Each class will focus on a different composer.  We will spend the majority of class learning about their life, and listening to samples of their music. Then we will enjoy a trivia review game. Students will come away with some fun facts and insights into the people who wrote the music.
