During this course, students will learn about different famous and historical figures. We will be using the "Who Was?" series as the base for our study. Prior to class, students will read the book for the week. The reading will be done independently at home. During class time, we will work through a brief overview of the person's life, followed by discussion and a project. Throughout the course, students will complete an interactive notebook about the people. Each week, we will add...
Students will learn about a variety of important people and historical figures.
Students will be responsible for obtaining a copy of the book to read prior to class. This can be purchased or borrowed from a library. The full book list is included in the class description. Students will also need a composition or spiral notebook. They will also need a pen or pencil, as well as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. Occasionally, a printable will be uploaded into the classroom. Scissors and glue may be needed during those weeks.
