誰是美洲原住民（6-9 歲）

This is an introduction to who Native American peoples are both past and present. It is the same content as my Who Are Native Americans class, but broken down into two parts for younger students.
The class will cover information not often covered in textbooks. We will examine what most people think of when they think of Native Americans and work to change those perceptions.

Week 1: I will present information about stereotypes and why they're harmful and we will play a short game about identifying stereotypes. Then we will learn a little bit about modern Native pop culture and watch a music video. 

Week 2: I will present a brief history of North American Native nations, and then mostly focus on modern Native American peoples - who we are, what we do, where we live, powwows, etc. We will watch a video about language preservation and a video about powwows. 

I will be teaching with a Power Point presentation and a few short videos. This class is taught by a real Native person, so it is taught from an Indigenous perspective. I will speak my language a little and show some modern cultural items. No prior knowledge is needed for this class. 
This is a lecture style class. There is time for some Q&A, but it is not a social class.
