From mice to deer, learn how to identify young wildlife and know exactly when or if they need help! Did you know many wildlife species leave their young alone during the day to protect them? Do you know how to tell apart a newborn opossum, grey squirrel, flying squirrel or mouse? Do you know what you should do if you encounter a young grey squirrel that has fallen out of a tree? Students will learn about many native wildlife species (Western NC in specific) and be able to identify them as well as know when they need help- and when they don't!

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 (even 18+ without proper training) is discouraged from ever handling any type of wildlife. These identification tips and tricks for when an animal needs help, are taught so that less people interact with wildlife- minimizing the harm done to animals by humans and vise versa.
