Did you know that when presented with fractions, most students want to turn and run because they "hate" them? If your student is in that category, then this class is for you! As we explore the concept of a fraction, we will discover what a fraction is, how to identify the parts of a fraction, and how to use fractions to represent parts-in-a-whole scenarios through lecture, discussion, and interactive participation. We will focus on vocabulary (such as numerator, denominator, parts in a...
Students will understand the meaning of "fraction." Students will be able to draw, name, and label fractions. Students will be able to use fractions to represent real-world scenarios.
2 註冊後即可取得文件Students will need some type of writing materials to draw fraction models: colored pencils and paper or a dry-erase board and markers. Ability to print PDF's is helpful, but not necessary - a notes page and a practice page will be available to print if desired.
