I have been a tutor in New York City for over 15 years. In math, I have taught many levels from basic number sense through pre-calculus, and I especially love tutoring algebra and geometry. In writing, I have taught the mechanics of writing an essay, the correct usage of grammar and punctuation, and the process of reviewing your own writing for mistakes. I also teach test prep skills and strategies for taking standardized tests. 

As I support my students in solving a math problem, writing an essay, or preparing for an exam, I am also guiding them toward being mindful of how they think and how to optimize their performance. My philosophy is that every student should learn to be their own expert - in this way, they can not only excel academically but have a sense of ownership and enthusiasm for their education...and beyond!
