*This class is geared towards students who are new to the Spanish language, or have a background in Spanish (spoken by friends or family members) but need more instruction and direct teaching. In the Weekly Spanish Circle Time for Kids Ages 3-6 Years Old, your child will engage in a fun-filled exploration of Spanish through a weekly routine of songs, activities and stories! Students are highly encouraged to participate and interact with the teacher and fellow students. Through routine and consistency, students will gain confidence in their ability to speak and understand Spanish! Throughout the year, we will incorporate new songs or stories that coincide with the season and/or month. Students are able to join our Circle Time class at any point in the year! Here is a general outline of our class: 1. Greeting (Saludos) 2. Weather (Clima) 3. Days of the week (Días de la semana) 4. Months of the Year (Meses del año) 5. Shapes (Figuras) 6. Colors (Colores) 7. Numbers (Números) 8. Story time (Hora de cuentos) 9. Monthly Theme Lesson 10. Share Time Class Schedule: Our class meets weekly, with the exception of holidays. Although each month focuses on a different theme, classes are designed so that new students can join at any time of the year! January 2024 Theme: Introducing Yourself Saturday Class Dates: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27 February 2024 Theme: Feelings Saturday Class Dates: 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24 March 2024 Theme: Parts of the Body Saturday Class Dates: 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 3/30 (No Class on 3/16) April 2024 Theme: Animals Saturday Class Dates: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 May 2024 Theme: Food Saturday Class Dates: 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25 June 2024 Theme: Transportation Saturday Class Dates: 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, (NO CLASS on 6/29) July 2024 NO CLASS (Summer break) August 2024 Theme: Classroom Objects Saturday Class Dates: 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31 September 2024 Theme: People Saturday Class Dates: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28 October 2024 Theme: Places Saturday Class Dates: 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26 November 2024 Theme: Holidays and Celebrations Saturday Class Dates: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23 (NO CLASS ON 11/30) December 2024 NO CLASS (Winter Break) I cannot wait to have your learner join the fun of learning a new language!
