課堂經歷
During this experiential watercolor class, learners will be actively learning four different techniques when engaged in a watercolor painting. In this class we will learn the techniques and then the students will be able to independently have time to practice. If students are shy with drawing, I will help them get their idea down on paper. The main goal for this class is to have students enjoy experimenting so I will have music playing during the independent investigation parts. At the end of each session we will share our paintings and discuss what we liked about the techniques of the day and what we found frustrating (if anything.) Students will be encouraged to use their imaginations and look for the "fun" behind watercolors.

供應清單
1. Good tray of watercolors (Roseart and the very inexpensive trays don't keep their colors.) Crayola is a good brand. Or "student-grade" professional watercolors are really good and not expensive. 2. Oil pastels (crayons will work if the students press hard.) 3. Salt 4. Roughly 6 sheets of "watercolor paper" as we will be experimenting with water and mixing. 5. Rub-A-Dub Sharpie laundry permanent black marker. Can be found on Amazon 6. 3-4 different size watercolor brushes (small for details to medium for blending backgrounds)

While getting my masters degree in art therapy, I learned and practiced using many different mediums that one can use to express themselves. I am also a painter on the side and have a studio behind my house. While I taught elementary school for 11 years, I also ran an after school art club to help kids unwind at the end of their academic day. I love showing students how to engage in art projects!
