The world contains a diversity of species, by which the beauty of nature is revealed. This class is designed to help students improve their sketching and watercolor painting skills. Students will be using pencil to make a sketch of an animal’s portrait and paint the sketch with watercolor. Techniques such as blending, glazing, and mixing colors will be covered in every class. The reference of each lesson will be from a book called “The Animal Kingdom,” a collection of portraits by Randal...
SKETCHING: - Pencil (Recommended: 2B) - Water-resistant gel pen (Recommended brand: Sharpie) - Eraser PAINTING - Watercolor paper - A set of 12 (or 24) watercolor paints - NO GOUACHE - A Palette to mix colors - Brushes (Natural hair brushes or Chinese calligraphy brushes) - 2 jars/cups filled with water. - Soft towel (or paper towels)
