In this lesson, students will be able to create a beautiful landscape with paint, markers, or colored pencils and I will be discussing the difference between warm and cool colors. I will first do a directed draw of the foreground with a sharpie while students follow along and then students will be able to color or paint their background using warm and cool colors. Students will improve their understanding of the warm and cool colors. They will also improve their understanding of the elements of art, specifically line, value, and color.
Watercolors work best for this project so learners are encouraged to use paint, water, sharpie, and a paintbrush.
