Welcome to Ms. Jodi's library class! Celebrate the amazing beauty of the Spring equinox in this storytime class. We will light a candle and read stories together that celebrate the amazing life we find in springtime...gardens, flowers, kindness, and animals. After reading we will explore some fun Spring yoga poses and create some magical drawings (student-led, free drawing). Week One: ~Read Spring is Here by Will Hillenbrand ~Read A Season of Flowers by Michael Garland ~Practice some spring yoga poses ~Draw a flower picture Week Two: ~Read The Little Gardener by Gerda Marie Scheidl ~Read Spring Walk by Virginia Brimhall Snow ~Practice some spring poses ~Draw some spring flowers Week Three: ~Read Daisylocks by Marianne Berkes ~Read The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter ~Practice spring animal poses ~Draw a Peter Rabbit picture Week Four: ~Read Badger's Perfect Garden by Marsha Diane Arnold ~Read May I Come In? by Marsha Diane Arnold ~Practice spring weather poses ~Draw a rainy day picture Parents, please provide a yoga mat and a safe place for students to practice our fun yoga poses together!
