The learning goals are outlined above in the description section regarding "Focus".
- As students accomplish the completion of their sight and high frequency words, any student desiring to do so, will be able to celebrate that accomplishment by having a "Read-Off" - a timed reading of the words they have learned to show their mastery. (Confidence builder)
-As students begin to learn higher level words, part of the practice will be 
1) Recording the word, phonetically, (On smart phone)
2) Establishing context meaning, and finally, (What is the word referring to in the referenced comprehension section.)
3) Writing a sentence showing comprehension of the word by correctly using it in a sentence.

My past assignment was as an ELD (English Language Development) grade level responsible teacher for 3rd and 4th grade students for six (6) years.  Additionally, I was an AEMP (American English Mastery Program) teacher for eight (8) years.  The requirements met were to teach students culturally relevant information while helping them acquire academic English with confidence in both reading and writing.

Word Lists of sight words, high frequency, word meanings students know, and use of the dictionary for assistance in clarifying their word meaning knowledge.
