Becoming a veterinarian is high on the list of future careers for so many learners which is so exciting! This course will be a great way for them to explore a variety of topics with a different focus each week. The animal types will vary and the lesson and activity will be based on that topic. 

Class will begin with a lesson/discussion on the topic and then we will begin an activity. Activities are will be about 1/2 the class time, but since these are relatively short classes, the project may not be completed by the end of class. Learners are encouraged to finish the project after class, and share a photo of their work in the online classroom after they compete it. If supplies are not available for your learner that week, they are more than welcome to come to class to learn and discuss the topic anyway! 

Occasionally, a quick YouTube video clip may be shown in class or a follow up video may be safely embedded in the classroom for further learning.

**IMPORTANT NOTE** this course is not a course to train learners how to diagnose or treat animals. It is designed to allow learners to learn about what is involved when a veterinarian cares for their patients. No specific recommendations will be given by the instructor about learner’s pets medical care/conditions.
