During this one time multi-curricular class, students will have the opportunity to learn about the famous dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh and focus on his collection of paintings on sunflowers. The majority of the class will be spent recreating a painting using acrylic paint in an easy to follow demonstration that is interspersed with dutch vocabulary. Enthusiastic students wanting to create a beautiful piece of art, learn about Van Gogh and his work, or learn new terms in dutch are perfect for this class! This is not a Dutch conversation class, and no prior Dutch is necessary (see "Learning Goals" for more). This class is conducted in English.

Students will be able to:
- Create a piece of art using acrylic paint
- Identify characteristics of Van Gogh's art
- Articulate the translation of:
- Kleurstof (paint)
- Zonnebloem (sunflower)
- Vaas (vase)
This is not a Dutch conversation class, and no prior Dutch is necessary. This class is conducted in English.

I have been blessed to see many of Van Gogh's pieces in various museums in Chicago, Paris, and Amsterdam, and want to pass on my love for his work to other young students! I have had years of learning about and using acrylic paint and think it is perfect for younger learners to use while exploring art. Through a trip to Amsterdam, I was able to pick up some knowledge about the Dutch people and culture and learn some dutch words!評論
