Students will be taught how to draw and paint a Valentine's Day Balloon painting using acrylic paints. Topics will include tricks to make drawing easier as well as creating light and shadow in a painting. The class will be structured in a step-by-step manner. I have taught art to students of many different ages during a 30-year teaching career. This includes painting using acrylic paints.

Canvas or card stock Pencil Eraser Acrylic paints of the learner's choice, think unicorn colors- The student will want 7 or 8 colors more than likely. Cup with water Paintbrushes in several sizes Paper towel Palette, an old egg carton or paper plate
Students may need assistance with paint. Acrylic paints do not come out of clothing or other materials when it gets on them. A smock or older clothing may be desirable.
No sources outside of the class will be utilized for this lesson.
