During these classes we will get more familiar with the sting names by finger plucking, review the 4 basic chords C, A minor, F, and G, learning more complex songs, strumming patterns, and most importantly we will continue learning and challenging ourselves in our playing abilities. Lesson 1 - Students will review the 4 chords they have learned through Boot Camp 1 - C, G, A minor, and F. We will practice Strumming patterns and talk about the importance of practicing at home. By the end of Boot Camp 2, students will review the 4 chords C, G, A minor, and F. Students will learn strumming patterns that will go with songs. Students will gain knowledge by using strumming patterns to play music with chords and finger picking by reading and using TABS by the end of these classes.
I have been teaching for 19 years, I have a passion for music and love to teach it to beginning students. Music opens so many possibilities and Ukuleles are an easy instrument to learn. You can learn something one day and be able to play it right away. I teach PreK-5th grade general music and art, This including learning pitched and non pitched instruments, music history, movement, and ukulele.

I will provide the information each week with music and chord finger positions and all they need is a ukulele and the willingness to learn something new every day. There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your ukulele. I use Ukulele Tuner app and it would be great if you could tune the ukulele before class. We will talk about tuning the first class so after that class they should be able to tune the ukulele before the rest of the classes. PLEASE Tune the ukulele before coming to class.
