Students will learn all the necessary skills needed to start playing songs on the ukulele, including tuning, chords and strumming patterns. We will cover the value of whole, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16th notes as well as C Major, F major, G Major and A minor chords. Using these 4 chords, students will choose from a list of songs the utilize these 4 chords. Individual and group performances are a part of this camp as well! Students will learn how to tune the Ukulele, learn 4 chords (C,F,G and Am) and choose a song from our song list using these 4 chords. They will learn how to strum the ukulele using whole,1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16th notes. They will also learn the history of the ukulele as well as how ukulele relates to art, science and math.
