This class will go over the basics of playing the drums, including the different pieces on the drum set, proper hand technique, and playing basic rhythms. There will also be a time to ask any questions about what repeated drum lessons with Mr. Jesse would look like. 

If you choose to sign up for repeated drum lessons with Mr. Jesse, here are some details on my teaching method!

In these one-on-one classes, intended to be scheduled on a weekly or biweekly basis, I will teach you or your learner how to play the drums. This class is perfect for the beginner to advanced student, with each class is catered to the students' own level.  Whether you are playing drum set, in the school band, or want to learn hand drums, I can help you achieve your musical goals.

We believe learning should be fun, so lessons will consist of a mix of playing songs, drum exercises, and educational games. For beginning and intermediate students, we work through the Foundations of Drumming curriculum. Once you feel confident, we can supplement our lesson book with other songs of your choice, including in rock, jazz, or other styles of music. Maybe you can even compose your own piece!
