Are you ready to have a great time with the newest Treehouse Series book? Come join in this class to enjoy this outrageous story by Australian author, Andy Griffiths! We will jump right into the book during our first class as we read together the first 2 chapters. During our first class, we'll have time to share out about your child's favorite part and participate in reading responses which help develop and strengthen oral language and social skills. Students will work on reading comprehension skills as well as making predictions, inferences, and connections. Students will interact verbally and through written response with the text. Students will practice social skills through interactions with other learners.
Books are my passion and I love to share the joy of reading with students. As an experienced licensed teacher with a Master's in Reading and a National Board Certification, I love to challenge and stretch your child's literacy skills. This book club is a way to connect with others and share a wonderful reading experience around a common book. Drawing on my expertise as an elementary school librarian, I will be working to make this a positive learning experience for your child! I hope your child will join in the fun!

The only homework for the class will be to read the assigned chapters after each class meeting. See the course description for the reading schedule. I will provide an optional class challenge after each meeting should you wish for your child to complete it.0 - 1 每週課外時間

Student will need: - a copy of The 143 Story Treehouse book (print or digital) - writing paper - pencil - coloring supplies such as crayons or markers Teacher will provide: - any handouts needs to complete during the class at least 24 hours before the start of the class *if you do not have access to a printer, please ensure your child can view the sent PDF digitally

The book is recommended for children ages 6 - 10 per the publisher's recommendation. I always recommend to read or learn about the book prior to enrolling your child in the class to see if you approve of the book. Also you may want to view a sample of the text to gauge the readability for your child. Students will need to read 3 or 4 chapters in between class sessions. Reading can be independently done by the child or he/she may need your help to read the book.
