I will not be requiring homework. I occasionally create homework after class if I feel students may benefit from more independent practice. I always provide the answers for the students, so they can check. I am available by message to also ask questions.評估
I ask students to submit their answers in the chat or hold them up for me. I adjust my instruction based on student's needs.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。

Want your child to feel confident about math? In this course, we will focus on new review topics each week. Each class will be different. The year will begin with second-grade material, then will switch to third-grade material. Each class, I will review the contents, then students will do practice with me. After I see that students are comfortable, I will ask students to do the material independently. I do this process multiple times throughout the class. By doing this process, I make sure students have a basic understanding of the topic that they will build upon throughout the class. This helps build student confidence. I will ask students either to annotate on Zoom or hold up a whiteboard/paper. In addition, I will also use the chatbox. How do I provide support for students? In addition to scaffolding the material, the amount of time we spend on a topic is decided by the students. Throughout the lesson, I will ask students how they feel about a concept before we move on. This means the number of days we may spend on the material may change. I also encourage students to use the chatbox. The chatbox allows students to anonymously as a question or ask me to repeat something. Feel free to reach out about your child. How do I determine what material to teach students? I look at grade level standards across the country, which tell teachers what students are supposed to know. I also look at districts throughout the nation's timelines of when they are teaching specific material. What are your qualifications? I am a certified PK-6 general education teacher and special education teacher. I have taught over 5,000 online classes to students. 2022/2023 Schedule Week of September 5 Day 1 Review Day 1 Day 2 Review Day 2 Week of September 12 Day 1 Place Value Day 2 Rounding numbers Week of September 19 Day 1 Rounding numbers Day 2 Addition- Up to 100s Week of September 26 Day 1 Estimating numbers Day 2 Strategies for addition Week of October 3 Day 1 Strategies for addition Day 2 Subtraction Week of October 10 Day 1 Subtraction Day 2 Day 2 Subtraction Day 3 Week of October 17 Day 1 Estimating subtraction Day 2 Strategies for subtraction Week of October 24 Day 1 Strategies for subtraction Day 2 Strategies for subtraction Week of October 31 Day 1 Word problems addition Day 2 Word problems subtraction Week of November 7 Day 1 Introduction to multiplication- using what you already know- groups/skip counting/factors & products Day 2 Groups/Skip counting/Adding Week of November 14 Day 1 Arrays Day 2 Commutative Property of Multiplication & Introduction to facts Week of November 21 Week of November 28 Day 1 Multiplication facts and rules Day 2 0, 1, 2 times facts Week of December 5 Day 1 Facts Practice 3 & 4 times facts Day 2 Facts Practice 5 & 6 times facts Week of December 12 Day 1 Facts Practice 7 & 8 times facts Day 2 Facts Practice 9 times facts Week of December 19 Day 1 Multiplying by zeros Day 2 Associative Property of Multiplication & Distributive Property of Multiplication Week of December 26 Week of January 2 Day 1 Multiplication Area Model Day 2 Introduction- dividend/divisor/quotient-groups Week of January 9 Day 1 Groups day 2 Day 2 Relationship between division and subtraction Week of January 16 Day 1 Arrays Day 2 Division fact practice Week of January 23 Day 1 Three digit by one digit multiplication Day 2 Three digit by one digit multiplication Week of January 30 Day 1 Three digit by one digit multiplication Day 2 Estimating multiplication problems Week of February 6 Day 1 Divide a three-digit number by a one digit number Day 2 Divide a three-digit number by a one digit number Week of February 13 Day 1 Divide a three-digit number by a one digit number Day 2 Estimating division problems Week of February 20 Day 1 Define the whole, parts, numerator, and denominator Day 2 Drawing fraction models Week of February 27 Day 1 Fractions on a number line Day 2 Fractions of a whole number & decomposing fractions Week of March 6 Day 1 Adding and subtracting fractions Day 2 Equivalent fractions Week of March 13 Day 1 Equivalent fractions Day 2 Comparing fractions Week of March 20 Day 1 Comparing fractions Day 2 Word Problems Week of March 27 Day 1 Word Problems Day 2 Picture Graphs Week of April 3 NO CLASSES- SPRING BREAK Week of April 10 Day 1 Bar graphs Day 2 Line plots Week of April 17 Day 1 Tables Day 2 Line graphs Week of April 24 Day 1 2D shapes Day 1 Day 2 2D shapes Day 2 Week of May 1 Day 1 3D shapes Day 1 Day 2 3D shapes Day 2 Week of May 8 Day 1 Coordinate plane reading and graphing Day 2 Area and Perimeter Day 1 (Counting unit squares & formula) Week of May 15 Day 1 Area and Perimeter Day 2 (Formula) Day 2 Finding unknown sides Week of May 22 Day 1 Complex shapes area and perimeter Day 2 Extra time 2023/2024 Schedule Week of September 4 Day 1 Review Day 1 Day 2 Review Day 2 Week of September 11 Day 1 Place Value Day 2 Rounding numbers Week of September 18 Day 1 Rounding numbers Day 2 Addition- Up to 100s Week of September 25 Day 1 Estimating numbers Day 2 Strategies for addition Week of October 2 Day 1 Strategies for addition Day 2 Subtraction Week of October 9 Day 1 Subtraction Day 2 Day 2 Subtraction Day 3 Week of October 16 Day 1 Estimating subtraction Day 2 Strategies for subtraction Week of October 23 Day 1 Strategies for subtraction Day 2 Strategies for subtraction Week of October 30 Day 1 Word problems addition Day 2 Word problems subtraction Week of November 6 Day 1 Introduction to multiplication- using what you already know- groups/skip counting/factors & products Day 2 Groups/Skip counting/Adding Week of November 13 Day 1 Arrays Day 2 Commutative Property of Multiplication & Introduction to facts Week of November 20- Thanksgiving- NO CLASS Week of November 27 Day 1 Multiplication facts and rules Day 2 0, 1, 2 times facts Week of December 4 Day 1 Facts Practice 3 & 4 times facts Day 2 Facts Practice 5 & 6 times facts Week of December 11 Day 1 Facts Practice 7 & 8 times facts Day 2 Facts Practice 9 times facts Week of December 18 Day 1 Multiplying by zeros Day 2 Associative Property of Multiplication & Distributive Property of Multiplication Week of December 25 - WINTER BREAK Week of January 1- If class falls on January 1st, refund given.
