Welcome to 3rd Grade Reading Comprehension. This is an on-going class so your learner is free to jump in any time they are able to and stay as long as they'd like. TOPICS COVERED: Week of 8/26: Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers. - Students will be able to comprehend a variety of grade level text.
- Students will be able to ask/answer questions about grade level text.
- Students will be able to recount stories and describe a sequence of events.
- Students will be able to determine unfamiliar words by using context clues in a text.
A handout will be posted to the classroom page weekly. Students can print and bring it to class.
We will refer to grade level readers (worksheets) provided in the classroom. We will also use digital books on Epic! that will be projected on the screen.
